Windows XP Configuration

1. Click on the start button
2. Click on Control Panel
3. If you are not in classic view, then click 'Switch to classic view'
4. Double click Network Connections
5. Click on create a new connection
6. Click Next on the new connection wizard
7. Click the first option which is connect to the internet, then click next
8. Click on 'Setup my connection manually', click Next.
9. Click on 'Connect using a dial-up modem', click Next.
10. Type in 'Net Connection' for the ISP name, click Next.
11. Type in your local dial-up number (***843-0082 for Bakersfield), click Next.
12. Type in your username, password and then confirm password. Leave all three boxes checked, then click Next.
13. Check the box that says 'add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop'
14. Click Finish
15. Close all open windows
16. Click Start and then click Control Panel. You may need to push Start then Settings and then Control Panel.
17. Double click on Internet Options
18. Change your homepage address to http://www.netxn.com
19. Click on Connections
20. Click on 'Always dial my default connection'.
21. Click on Net Connection one time to highlight it
22. Click on 'Set Default'
23. Click Okay
24. Close the Control Panel
