Windows 2000 Configuration

1. Double click "My Computer" on your desktop.
2. Double click "Control Panel".
3. Double click "Network and Dial-up Connections".
4. Double click "Make new connection".
5. Click "Next".
6. Click on "Dial-up to the Internet".
7. Click "Next".
8. Type "***843-0082" for 56k modem users - leave "Use Dialing rules" unchecked.
9. Click "Next".
10. Choose "For all users" for the connection to be available for all users, or "Only for myself" if you do not want others to have access.
11. Click "Next".
12. Type "Net Connection" in the white box.
13. Put a check in "Add a shortcut to my desktop".
14. Click "Finish".
15. In "Network and Dial-up Connections" right click on "Net Connection" and left click on "Properties".
16. Put a check mark in "Show icon in taskbar when connected".
17. Double left click on "TCP/IP", be sure "Obtain IP Address Automatically" and "Obtain DNS server addresses Automatically" are marked.
18. Click "OK".
19. Click "OK".
20. You are now ready to connect to Net Connection Bakersfield.
